Mystique Transforming Body Paint Cosplay

Well I commend the effort that it took to put this together, even if it's a bit confusing. What needs to be explianed is that she's transforming from Rogue to Mystique. The Rogue body paint is not very good and actually makes her look like a Green Lantern Corps member. The attnetion to detail in the hair is good, but whoever did the body paint really caked it on. Hey Lovebirds -- Now You Can Cosplay As Rogue and Gambit the Lazy Way!

I like these two characters and used to actually give a shit about their fake relationship, that was until Marvel went all Ross and Rachel on it and threw a Joey in the mix. Once Rogue slept with Magneto I was done with her and lost all respect for the character. But hey if you're still in love with the romance from the 90's that hasn't gone anywhere in 20 years then you can where shirts from costumes they don't wear anymore and do some lazy cosplay. Rogue Is Also The Silver Surfer... In This Cosplay Set

I don't know if that blatantly obvious Rogue costume was supposed to be visible or if we were to take some narrative from this photo shoot that indicates that touching the silver surf board turns you into the Silver Surfer, but this cosplay sucks. Its not even rewarding seeing her silver boobies, it's just weird. If you have a half chub right now you need to talk to your family because you might have tumor or something. Enjoy!

Something For The... Men - Rogue Latex Cosplay Dress

I was going to say this was something for the Ladies, but let's be honest, what woman wants to put on an uncomfortable latex dress and walk around pretending to be Rogue all the time? I will say that it's pretty cool and a nice take on the character's classic 90's costume, but it's latex and short and if she wore it to a convention she would never make it past the front door because so many dudes would be taking pictures. Nope, this should just be called foreplay because that's what it is. If you want one then you can stop by Etsy and get one for $200 bucks or for $300 you can purchase a very see through Snow White costume. Pics after the break.

What Not To Wear: Marvel NOW - X-Men Edition

MTV Geek has the first look at three of the Marvel Now Redesigns and I'm guessing that they'll continue to have them first as Marvel has found their new USA Today to reveal shit to. Frankly, I don't give a damn about who has them first, I just care about the way they look... shitty. Let's go all "What Not To Wear" on them shall we?

First up is Havok... soak it in and let's begin.

The first thing that stands out is the body suit underneath the baggy pants. That's not a good look at all and if you saw a black body suit and black pants like that the fabrics would be very different and the color wouldn't match. Also the pants would fade a lot faster than the shirt. The throw back mask design doesn't work with the flat surface and frankly would make Havok's head look wide and tall. The boots are probably the worst thing about the outfit as it looks like he grabbed his dad's old boots and said, "I'm going to wear them until they fit!" On a side note he looks constipated or unhappy to be related to Cyclops... or both.

Artist Clayton Henry has created some real magic with Roneto as she's now being called. This Rogue/Magneto hybrid is pretty awesome and it got me thinking about what other characters could fill the roles of the reverse gender? This probably works a bit better in the Marvel Universe which doesn't have as many male and female versions of the same characters already *cough* Superman, Supergirl, Powergirl, Batman, Batgirl, Batwoman *cough*, but there are some that would be interesting to see like Huntress filling in for Catman or even Joker dawning Harley Quinn's outfit. As for Marvel I would love to see more X-Men switches of the same theme, Cyclops as the Phoenix (Dark or Normal crazy). Dazzler as... anyone that's cooler than Dazzler would be a step in the right direction for that character. The point is, if you're an artist (perhaps one named Clayton Henry) then get busy on making this new category of fan art happen!
