X-Men 3-1/2: Jennifer Lawrence Blued Herself

Everyone seemed to really care about this so I thought I'd chime in. I hate this design for Mystique. I always have and always will. It's terrible and makes the least amount of sense out of all the "Hollywood" redesigns. Also, for a woman that said she won't starve herself for a role... she's looking pretty damn thin. It's all fine and dandy if she's doing it healthily, but I wasn't expecting to be able to follow the path of the sandwich she ate for lunch all the way to her to the lower intestine. Ah whatever, she'll have ten minutes of screen time at most with all the other characters running around bumping into each other and waiting for their turn at a line.

New R.I.P.D. TV Spot Shows The "Training"

I swear if I read one more person say, "It looks like (fill in the blank)" I'm going to upper-decker their toilet. There are six stories in the world and we just find new ways to tell them so it's kind of a "duh" that this looks like something else you may be familiar with. Anyways, I liked this trailer and I want to see the movie. I'm I expecting it to be the best comic book movie ever? No, but it's not a Marvel or DC movie so it's worth a shot.

Review: Man-Gull #1

When you read comics all of the time, it can be hard to find something that grabs your attention and shakes it like a new born baby. But when I stumbled across something called “Man-Gull” I was instantly enthralled. It was strange, it was new, and it was exciting. Plus with a name like Man-Gull, it had to be good.

In the town Pleasant Point, a loving couple by the names of James and Debbi sit by the lake at night and enjoy each other’s company; but then all of a sudden from out of the darkness, James is attacked by an unknown assailant. After the chaos ends, Debbi finds her boyfriend half dead without his arms.

Detective Nick Obecks drops by the hospital as he’s been assigned to the dismemberment case of James Moxon. Nick talks to the doctor but don’t really get any insight on what the attacker used to sever the arms.  James is alive, be it on life support with an armed guard in front of his room.

Dark Horse Publishes LuVisi's Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter

From the mind of Dan LuVisi comes a brand-spanking-new intellectual property. Where most comics start off with a first issue, Last Man Standing starts off with a 272-page bible, Killbook of a Bounty Hunter, that sets up the entire universe of the LMS world.

Dark Horse Comics is set to reprint the hard-to-find cult tome. The hardcover book will include thirty pages of all-new material and a new cover. This bible takes the form of a scrapbook filled with maps, history, over forty character biographies and dossiers, tons of faux advertisements, and much, much more.

A limited San Diego Comic-Con exclusive edition is currently in the works, with a special cover shown here, which will only be for sale through Dark Horse at Comic-Con International 2013.

New Clip For Lego Batman: The Movie - It's Joker Time!

There's plenty to read after the jump about the new voice actors taking on some major roles in the movie so stick around for that.

The first day on a job is never easy. It only gets that much more difficult when you’re following a legend.

Such was the case for Troy Baker, Travis Willingham and Christopher Corey Smith – three talented young voice actors who stepped into the recording booth – and some very large shoes – for LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Superheroes Unite.

The trio was tasked with creating the voices of Batman, Superman and the Joker, all the while remaining respectful to the landmark performances of some very well-loved actors that had come before. Early reviews say the three actors hit their mark, as well as outstanding notices for the ever-hilarious performance of Charlie Schlatter as the voice of Robin.

Title Announcement and First Look: Sheltered #1

The founders of the survivalist colony Safe Haven are sure that the end of civilization is at hand. Economic collapse, natural disaster, civil war — they're prepared for it all in their underground compound deep in the woods of America's northeast. But, in SHELTERED, the new series from Image Comics by Ed Brisson (COMEBACK) and Johnnie Christmas, the threat to their existence comes from a source they never expected: their own children.

Coming in July, SHELTERED follows the consequences after Safe Haven's younger generation, raised in paranoia and isolation, rebel against their parents and take over the compound. Two leaders emerge from the rebellion: the teenagers Lucas, who led the revolt,  and Victoria, who leads another group of kids in their escape. With Victoria set to expose Safe Haven, Lucas and his faction are determined to hunt her and her group down before they reach the nearest town, forty miles away through dangerous wilderness.

Title Announcement and First Look: Days Missing vol. 3 and Worth

Arcana Studios has two new series that we've been given a preview for. The first is the conclusing to the Days Missing saga. I really enjoyed the first two series that Archaia produced and it looks like Arcana has maintained that same level of quality for the third volume. The second is Worth and it just looks fun. Check out the info about each title after the jump, along with the preview.

Official Trailer For Batman: Arkham Origins and New Pics

I have to say that this opening action sequence is pretty impressive. Not only was the action smooth, but it was fitting of the characters. Let's hope that the story is as good in the game huh? There are a bunch of other pics of the game including a few showing it in action, ie: group fights and utility belt usage, but the rest are just of the Unreal Engine doing work and making everything all beefy looking. Lastly, don't let the length of the trailer scare you away, it's worth view.
