Sandra Chevrier's Superhero Collage and Portraits

We kind of ended up with a "DC" theme this weekend... sorry? I guarantee that these art pieces are going to be very different from everything else though. They're from Canadian artist Sandra Chevrier and it's a combination of a portrait mixed with a collage of old comic books. The series is called, "Caged" and it only features women portraits, but the comics are DC characters... not all women either. Just check it out for yourself because I have no way of explaining... I'm still trying to figure out why they're called "Caged".

Okay, Now Leggings Are Dead Right? Marvel Heroes Leggings!

Wow, those hurt my eyes... a lot! They're not kidding when they say Marvel Heroes, it's just a grab bag of characters and "WHAAAA'S" on there. This is... terrible. I think I still hate the DC one's more, but I would probably spill coffee on anyone wearing these.

Who Doesn't Want You To Not Wear These DC Leggings

I guess this means that the leggings trend is dead right? Or at the very least on the fast decline? If you don't know what a legging is then I will make a terrible "welcome to (blank) year" joke at your expense as your mother laughs at you. Anyways, these are gross and stupid. I can't be the only to feel that way. If you buy these please send us photos of you wearing them in public... guy or girl I don't care. There are more after the jump and if you really want them, they're about $27 bucks. Is your pride worth so little? I know DC is hitting the merch pretty hard this month, but they need to calm down.

I Heart This Sailor Mercury Cosplay

If you stopped by the site last weekend we had not one, but two Sailor Moon related items. Well it's a new week...end and we're back with another. Now, this isn't the most amazing Sailor Mercury cosplay ever, but it's definitely one of the best in recent memory. Check out the rest after the jump and if you want prints then head over the GeekxGirls.

Tired of Smelling Like An Avenger? How About A Man of Steel?

I know, I know... not my best headline. It was just too cheesy to pass up though. There have been Marvel fragrances for men for a while now and I've yet to hear how that turned out... probably because the container and price was ridiculous. These bad boys (Batman is after the jump) on the other hand are only $19.95 and can be bought at Hot Topic... so basically your closest mall. Hit the jump to find out what's inside of them!

Rob Liefeld Has Taken Brigade To Kickstarter...

In other news I'm officially done with Kickstarter. Great idea and all, but this shit is out of control. Seriously, don't send me your projects because I'm not doing it (IndieGoGo is still okay). This is going to be the first time that I tell you about a Kickstarter and then tell you not to support it. Seriously, if Rob Liefeld can't get a fucking comic book made, that's because it's his fault. You don't get to burn every fucking bridge around you and then ask your dwindling fan base to tie themselves together so you can get off the island. I'm sorry, I'm not fucking doing it. I'm not even giving you a link so that you can think about supporting this. Also, in case you were wondering, that fucking art is new! Now that's not a hold over from 1997 with a new slap of paint on it, that's fucking new.

I debated even talking about this project, but I saw enough sites and people laughing it off and joking about supporting it that I had to say something. Honestly, I don't even care that he wants to pull a Top Cow and give the issue away for free to everyone... because that's the only way you'll get me to read a Brigade book in the first place. Currently, is 44% funded with 28 days left to go... I can't fucking sigh hard enough. If you disagree feel free to leave a comment, but you'll never convince me that this is a worthy cause to support.

WTF Year, Day 137: Ouch! James Robinson Leaves DC Comics

The turn over continues at DC as long time DC scribe James Robinson announced via Twitter that he had quit DC and that Earth 2 #16 was his final issue. Kind of makes you wonder how the Earth 2 line will do especially since they announced at Wonder Con that they would be expanding it sometime this year. Frankly, it's just another veteran writer leaving the company and it doesn't even phase me anymore. Especially since other writers that I enjoy are taking the positions and we've really yet to see the effects of the talent leaving. I do think DC needs to get their shit in order and soon before this entire reboot becomes pointless as they continue to slip into a solid second place. That and I hear that the new CEO of the WB knows his comics... okay now I'm taking beats on how long it will be before Robinson announces his first creator owned series at Image or a Marvel book.

Would You Be Mr. Death to This Lady Thanos?

Thanos is ridiculously popular right now and frankly I'm getting a bit tired of the character, but this Lady Thanos cosplay from Contagious Costuming... is fucking cool. Check it out after the jump!

Titan Comics Releases A Trailer For Death Sentence... It Fucking Rocks

We're drawing closer and closer to Titan Comics print launch and one of their titles coming in October (you're going to hate that in a minute) is Death Sentence. The trailer is basically going to tell you everything else you need to know and it's pretty awesome looking. Also it looks like every comic site in the world has read it already with the exception of us, but that's okay because I'm still looking forward to it. Rock out to the trailer after the jump.
