NYCC '12: Garth Ennis Will Bring You a Live Action Crossed

They always said that The Watchmen was the unfilmable comic but when I think about a comic that truly earns that mantle, I think of the Crossed series. Just due to the sheer scope and intensity of the material alone. But shut my mouth because Garth Ennis and William Christensen (Avatar CEO) are going to have a go at it.

The plan is to have six live action Crossed webisodes that could possibly lead to a feature. Production for the episodes will start in fall of 2013 and Ennis will write and direct.

Not only that but Ennis will be back on the Bi-weekly Crossed:Badlands on #25 (in March '13) called the "Fatal Englishman". It will be about a military unit that fights back against the Crossed. There's even plans for something special a year later on issue #50, when Mr. Ennis will return with a "Patient Zero" story arc.

Wow, there's a lot of good thing coming for Crossed if you are a fan. I will say the live action Crossed has me a little worried but if anybody is going to do it, might as well have the man that started it all.
