Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 5:09PM
Can't decide between the Kindle or Nook? Say fu@k'em both and go with the Kobo Vox and get your IDW graphic novel fix. Pretty soon I think this will all be standard, but for now you'll have to deal with every pretty announcement of a new device and publisher added to their stable. I dream of the day when this is all standard and you don't even think about it its just there... like Angry Birds on all of these readers. Some day, some day.
Continuing to lead the charge of digital comics, IDW Publishing proudly debuted a collection of graphic novels for the Kobo Vox. IDW’s initial Vox entrée features over twenty complete graphic novels, including award-winning books and works by best selling authors, including Joe Hill, Anne Rice and Peter S. Beagle.
“We’re excited to bring IDW’s graphic novel line to the Kobo Vox,” stated Jeff Webber, IDW's director of ePublishing. “With the introduction of the Vox, Kobo is proving to be one of the frontrunners in the next generation of eReader tablet technology. We want to ensure our catalog is available to everyone that wants to read digital comics.”
IDW’s rich catalog of top prose authors and comics creators is especially suited for e-readers. Fans of IDW writers such as Steve Niles, Joe Hill, Anne Rice, Max Brooks, Peter S. Beagle, or James Patterson can now find IDW graphic novels right next to their respective prose stories. Award-winning creators like Darwyn Cooke and his acclaimed adaptations of Richard Stark’s Parker books and the first installment of the BLOOM COUNTY: THE COMPLETE LIBRARY are also included in IDW’s diverse Vox line.
IDW’s Vox launch offers something for readers of all ages, from classics like Eric Shanower’s OZseries for younger audiences and Joe Hill’s best-selling LOCKE & KEY series for mature readers.
The initial lineup includes the following titles:
• Bloom County: The Complete Digital Library Volume 1 1980-1981
• Bloom County: The Complete Digital Library Volume 2 1982
• Bloom County: The Complete Digital Library Volume 3 1983
