Marvel Tells Doom Miniseries To Stay In Hell

Remember seeing ads for this book and thinking, "Why the hell is Becky Cloonan doing working with these clowns?" Well, she's not anymore as Marvel cancelled this bad boy and its being pinned in with the layoff hubbub from two weeks ago. What I find interesting is that Spencer was swooped up like the new golden boy of comics but has already had one title cancelled (Iron Man 2.0, like anyone thought this would make it), another canned before hitting the shelves (Doom) and was already pulled from Secret Avengers in favor of Ellis... the real question becomes, is he still golden?

UPDATE: Bleeding Cool reports that basically it had more to do with the fact that Cloonan hadn't turned in any art due to personal issues and some other crap that totally makes sense. Seems this is a book that will basically fall through the cracks due to the circumstances of life.
