Kirkman Learns What All The Other Image Partners Already Knew... Don't Work With Liefeld

Via Rob Liefeld's Twitter account and picked up on by every other news organization comes the news that "creative differences" have killed The Infinite. My first thought was, "Isn't that crap series just six issues?" And yes, it is only six issues. Funny how Kirkman couldn't make it a full series with Liefeld, who apparently was using whatever inker was willing to touch the same page as him.

"I'll Eat Your Soul!"

Is anyone really surprised that this didn't work out? All of the Image founders are lazy when it comes to monthly work, just look at Top Cow. Their owner is over working for Marvel while his company is circling the toilet. The only real surprise is that Kirkman finally has standards for Liefeld's art work. I wouldn't be surprised if he just had a couple of high school students finish for art credits. I wonder if stunning reviews of the series like ours played a hand in Kirkman's demand for quality control... God, I hope so.

  1. Why is the guy from Youngblood on the cover?

Oh, I forgot. That's the way Liefield does all his characters.
